Long time, no post!
It has been an eventful six months since my last entry. I’m nearing the half-way point of Hunting Blood. I’ll be wrapping up chapter fourteen soon and then plunging into chapter fifteen which will focus on Shadow and Shroud and will have an interesting twist I hadn’t originally planned.
Now, what does the title of this entry refer to? Lightning Crashes is the name of short story I submitted to a contest held by Hatton Cross Steampunk (HCS) Publishing, a small press publisher in Virginia. I was one of the lucky winners and the story has been published in an anthology entitled Dark and Stormy. You can take a look here on Amazon: Dark and Stormy Anthology
Lightning Crashes is a science fiction story about a new father who gets unexpectedly thrust into the future and is faced with the most difficult choice of his life.
If you’re in the Williamsburg, VA area, stop by MarsCon at the Doubletree Hotel (50 Kingsmill Rd.) on Friday January 17th through Sunday January 19th. I’ll be doing a partial reading of Lightning Crashes at the Dark and Stormy launch party on Friday and I’ll be around the convention on Saturday, frequently stopping by the HCS Publishing table. Hope to see you there!
